(Carbombs for) Carlos

from This Is Not by Byzant At Sunset

/

about

"(Car Bombs for) Carlos" it's a colorful, fusion flavored blast with roots back to Patton's Mr. Bungle and Zorn's Moonchild Trio. Still, this is so Byzant at Sunset that it hurts! Impossible to label, this is a blow-you-away type of ride through different styles and vibes while its groove remains fluid throughout. 7 minutes where Jazz meets Hardcore and end up in the style of the 70's French mystery movie score.

A committed Marxist-Leninist, Ramírez Sánchez (born October 12, 1949), also known as Carlos the Jackal, is widely regarded as one of the most famous political terrorists of his era. He is a Venezuelan citizen.
After several bungled bombings, Ramírez Sánchez achieved notoriety for the 1975 raid on the OPEC headquarters in Vienna, which killed three people. This was followed by a string of attacks against Western targets. For many years he was among the most wanted international fugitives.
Carlos currently serving a life sentence in France for the 1975 murder of two French counter-intelligence agents and an informer.
While in prison he was further convicted of attacks in France that killed 11 and injured 150 people and sentenced to an additional life term.
Carlos was dubbed "The Jackal" by The Guardian after one of its correspondents reportedly spotted Frederick Forsyth's 1971 novel The Day of the Jackal near some of the fugitive's belongings.

Mr. Pan[k]sament Romania

I ended up at the microphone of a garage punk-rock band back in 1988 by mistake and fortune, and ever since, I've been "doing" music one way or another with different bands, projects or on my own. I played piano, bass, and some drums and learned to work with computers, samplers, and midi controllers.
I use Propellerhead's Reason, an Alesis keyboard, an Oxygen 8 midi-controller and the Reaper.
