about

"The House of the Rising Sun" is a traditional folk song and it tells of a life gone wrong in New Orleans. The song was originally a sixteenth-century English folk song about a Soho brothel, and that English emigrants took the song to America.
The most famous - and commercially successful - version was recorded by The Animals in 1964.
Just as a friend of mine told me: Eric Burdon will gonna eat my heart out for this!
